Windows Phone 7 (WM7) is the new offering from Microsoft. The operating system is not compatible with earlier
versions or older hardware, and is firmly targeted at the iPhone 'generation'.

The software development environment (Visual Studio 2010) will be largely familiar to users of
Visual Studio 2008 with support for C# and Visual Basic.
