Please click on the thumbnail image on the left or click here to see a full screen shot of AditMap in action. The simple to use tools allow you to develop maps for all your reporting and analysis needs. From a simple sketch to the most complex AditMap gives you the view you need.

Build Maps

  • Build maps using wide range of intuitive drawing tools
  • Build up maps covering large areas from local maps, even if  not contiguous
  • Build maps based on scanned images or using a ‘trace’  of key details from a scanned image

The AditMap trace facility is now fully automated - click here for a tour and see how simple it is to create great looking maps from a scanned image.

  • Bottom Up - combine adjoining low level maps or selected map objects to widen the scope or increase the level of detail
  • Top Down - select slices from a map and allow AditMap to re-size and re-scale the selection to create a new map
  • Maps can be re-sized and re-scaled as required
  • Special ‘scale’ tool provides for accurate measurement and precise placing of map ‘objects’

Import

  • Commercial and freely available spatial data such as Mapinfo MID format.
  • DMap boundary files
  • Grid reference files and the output of Digitisers and drawing boards
  • GPS files from Garmin and Magellan devices
  • Shape file (ESRI), EPS files
  • Sections from other AditMap maps
  • The new OS Mastermap (GML) format data. Click here to see a Mastermap of Port Talbot and then here to zoom in for the detail. If you prefer a view of Birmingham try here. For more information on the Ordnance Survey GML data standard click here.

  • Display the current mouse pointer position using OS Grid references, Lat/Long or UTM grid.
  • Use the Scale Tool to measure map dimensions and to obtain the grid reference of selected points
  • AditMap supports GB and Irish Ordnance Survey Grid References and can combine both systems when creating a map
